Naya Duggal

About Me!

My name is Naya Duggal. My hometown is Leesburg, Virginia, which is just outside the DC area. I live there with my mom, Roopa Duggal, and my dad Vinit Duggal and my two biological siblings Sage and Sep and my pets Mochi(cat) and Shadow(dog). I also have 7 other cousins that live with us sometimes, and other times I live with them so we kind of created a sibling bond and I do consider them siblings as well. Explaining the sibling/cousin thing has always been a hassle because whenever I tell stories and say I have 2 siblings but then there are all these other instances with my cousins just confused people, so I say I have 9 siblings just to not be super confusing (also the look on people’s faces when I say that is really funny). So I have 3 older siblings (Priya, Shredder, and Divya) who all live overseas and is past their masters degrees. My younger siblings are Ishaan(18), Sage(16), Krishna(15), Sep(15), Selena(10), Siara(6). I also practically live with my uncle, who is also my best friend, Nandan - who’s age will forever be a mystery. I like tea, cats and being really cozy in the winter and generally don’t like to hate anything. I like making stories and trying new things, or ways to do things.

Hobbies

  • Stories
    I like creating and reading stories, of any and all kinds. I enjoy using different mediums to articulate the story such as writing, drawing or even comics. I enjoy world building and character design.
  • Doodling
    I am an avid doodler, who likes to just let my hand go whenever I can’t pay attention somewhere. My doodles mostly feature cats, or little thumbnail comics and rough sketches of storyboards.
  • Gaming
    I like playing adventure games like Pokemon, Minecraft, and Animal Crossing - somewhere I can build a world and do mindless tasks. I also like Rhythm games, I used to play Love Live but I am currently playing Project Sekei: Colorful Stage, and I got to admit the story is much better.
  • Movies/Shows
    I love action movies, especially superhero movies or ones with a lot of magic in them. I also like animation, not just for the story, I like trying to direct how the animation ticks. I don’t like Sci-fi but I do enjoy Star Wars, if only for the world building.
  • Superheroes
    Superheroes have been a big part of my life that I tend to obsess over. Any superhero that interests me I will get any content I can get my hands on, I will read. Some of my long term favorites have been Spiderman, Robins, Batman, Flash, Young Justice, Teen Titans, Vigilantes of New York(MCU), and most of the Avengers.
  • Misc
    I make my own tea blends by taking some herbs and tea leaves and making my own mashups - some hit better than others. I’ve also been really into coding since I was little and know how to do a little bit of everything from raspberry pie to robotics to html to hacking a public domain game.
